JASON RYS

Jason Rys is the CEO of Wixen Music Publishing, Inc., bringing 16 years of experience in music publishing to the role. As a passionate advocate for songwriters and the music publishing industry, Rys is actively involved in shaping a better music ecosystem through his participation in various industry groups and initiatives.

On the policy front, Rys serves as Chair of The MLC’s Dispute Resolution Committee and has testified before the Library of Congress on matters related to AI, the DMCA, and statutory rate reform. He is also a member of the NMPA AI working group.

Rys contributes to the advancement of industry standards as a member of the CISAC CWR working group. Previously, he served as the Publisher Chair of the CISAC CAF working group, focusing on modernizing these two standards.

With his deep understanding of copyright, software development, and the music industry, Rys is committed to driving positive change and supporting the interests of not just Wixen’s clients, but the broader music publishing and songwriting communities as a whole.
