Why did you decide to join The MLC Board?
"The MLC encapsulates the principles of what my career has been founded on: Creators/Songwriters, Artists, technology, transparency, and a robust music marketplace that allows for new entrepreneurs to have a clear path to licensing and paying songwriters, and focused on driving a more diverse and healthy music marketplace."
What most excites you about building The MLC?
"Seeing the win-win of songwriters paid more accurately, and digital services having a simplified structure to launch new exciting products (and iterate on existing ones) in the market.”
Name a favorite song that has special meaning to you, why it is meaningful to you, and the name(s) of the songwriters who wrote it.
“’Chameleon’ by Herbie Hancock. Songwriters: Herbie Hancock, Bennie Maupin, Harvey Mason, Paul Jackson. It's the most grooviest classic that celebrates life, and the song was my favorite tune to jam to when growing up as a young saxophone player. Herbie is a national treasure.”
